Avid Hemp Announces Membership in the National Hemp Association

Jesse Myers

TAMPA, FL, [March 31, 2019] – Avid Hemp’s customers know that they’ll be getting premium CBD products at prices that reflect the company’s commitment to doing well by doing good. Already notable for its charitable contributions, Avid Hemp is proud to announce that it has joined the effort to develop the domestic hemp market through its membership in the National Hemp Association.
The NHA represents thousands of farmers, entrepreneurs, processors, manufacturers, researchers, investors, organizations, and businesses of all sizes who together drive the emerging hemp industry. From its headquarters in Washington, D.C., and through nearly 50 affiliate organizations, the NHA provides education, legislative support, and business-development guidance to an industry that thrives on those things as it grows and matures.
“Manufacturers and suppliers can sometimes see things differently,” observes Avid Hemp co-founder Jesse Myers with a smile. “Negotiations sometimes take a while. But in our industry, we’re united by a need for clear, supportive legislation and policy, and occasionally by the need for support as our businesses grow. And it’s not just us: researchers, equipment manufacturers, and investors need those same things.
“That’s why we’re so happy to be joining the NHA. Avid Hemp has always had a clear vision of how it wanted to operate as a business: low overhead, rigorous QC, and connection with our customers. We’ve achieved a level of success that lets us share the benefits of our experience with others in the industry, and to learn from them while maintaining the character that’s so important to us. We’ve had some good ideas about how to run a business, and we’re thrilled to contribute our ideas about how to shape a market.”
The stakes are high: once the most widely cultivated crop in the U.S., hemp is now imported to the tune of $150 million per year. Getting back to our roots means more jobs, greater control over an important industrial and medicinal commodity, and a significant step toward a more sustainable economy.

Avid Hemp Announces Research-Support Initiative

TAMPA, FL, [March 8, 2019] – Avid Hemp, one of the cannabidiol (CBD) industry’s most established and respected companies, is proud to announce its Avid Health Initiative. The program sends 5% of Avid Hemp’s monthly online sales to organizations doing vital research in the areas close to the hearts of Avid Hemp’s customers, with a focus on cancer and childhood epilepsy.

CBD has long been recognized as a remarkably effective treatment for the symptoms of childhood epilepsy. For years, it was difficult in most jurisdictions for parents to arrange purchase and delivery of this lifechanging compound, and those were exactly the years when Avid Hemp developed its reputation for nimble, responsive provision of premium CBD products. The FDA recently approved the first CBD-based epilepsy medication, and with more research, even more promising therapies are within reach.

Recent research suggests that CBD can dramatically slow the growth of cancer cells, or even destroy them, in controlled laboratory settings. Far more work remains to be done, as the American Cancer Society itself agrees, but with legal restrictions around CBD research beginning to relax, the prospects have never been brighter for a full exploration of CBD’s cancer-fighting properties.

This is the right time for full and open research on CBD, and Avid Hemp is the right company to help that research along.

“We’ve wanted to do something like this for a long time,” notes Avid Hemp co-founder Jesse Myers. “So many customers have thanked us for helping their children’s epilepsy symptoms, or that they’ve gotten relief from our products that they hadn’t found anywhere else. Our business is strong, and a remarkable percentage of our sales come from repeat customers. Legal restrictions on CBD research are being relaxed, and good news keeps coming to us from continuing research, so this was the right time to invest some of our success in research efforts that bridge our work and that of the mainstream medical community.”

Avid Hemp has achieved its status in the CBD marketplace by insisting on a remarkable degree of quality control. It starts with the highest-quality strains of hemp, grown organically by farmers in Florida and Colorado with whom Avid Hemp has longstanding relationships. Avid Hemp subjects samples from every batch of CBD to rigorous third-party laboratory testing. The company’s new facilities will bring CBD extraction entirely in-house starting in 2020.

This approach produces extraordinary consistency across Avid Hemp’s entire product line. Consistency is vital to the many customers who credit Avid Hemp with helping them end their addictions to opiates and nicotine, and to sufferers of longer-term conditions like epilepsy and cancer. Avid Hemp’s customers know that they’ll be getting the same highly effective, organic, all-natural remedies each time they order, and Avid Hemp knows that with every shipment it is improving the lives of its customers and, one bit of relief at a time, helping the communities in which they live.

Plenty of fly-by-night companies are looking to make a quick buck on CBD. Avid Hemp, though, is looking to make a difference. To learn more about Avid Hemp’s role in promoting CBD research, or about its approach to creating premium CBD products, please contact us at or 1-877-957-0774.
